Dr. JunPaul Castolo is a senior consultant in Department of Thoracic Surgery and Anesthesia at Lung Center of the Philippines, the country’s only tertiary specialty hospital dealing with chest and pulmonary diseases. He is an advocate and pioneer in uniportal vats technique at LCP. He trained as a clinical visiting scholar ,mid-2014, at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Prince of Wales Hospital in Single port Vats technique under Dr. Calvin Ng. Since then, most of the advance VATS procedures at LCP have been uniportal. He has been sharing technique and giving lecture in single port VATS in the Philippines. He is active in the development of Esophagus and Swallowing Center in the Philippines. His clinical interest is centered on minimally invasive surgery for Lung ca, esophageal lesion, mediastinal tumor and interventional bronchoscopy and surgical endoscopy. He attended several international workshop and training in his field of interest.
